SYNOPSIS
Rafael Alcides was once a widely known and celebrated writer of the Cuban revolution; now, a stranger in his own country, running out of time, as he tries to salvage his unpublished novels from the ink literally fading away from their pages. This is the story of love and deception in the Cuban revolution as seen through the eyes of someone who was initially mesmerized by all its possibilities.
Filmmaker Miguel Coyula has created a pop culture collage combining clips from old movies, photographs, and imaginary conversations all held together by the magnetic personality of raconteur Rafael Alcides. It’s an exquisite journey through the mind of a poet who describes the world in it ́s raw brutality and beauty. One man’s final Journey coming to terms with the end of life and the ideals of the Cuban Revolution and his life.

SINOPSIS
Es el mes de noviembre del 2015, casi ciego, el poeta cubano Rafael Alcides decide terminar sus novelas sin publicar y descubre que después varias décadas, la tinta casera de la máquina de escribir que utilizó, se ha borrado. Con una lupa y una computadora comienza la transcripción de lo que ha sido su obra de vida: La revolución cubana como una historia de amor y decepción a través de un hombre que una vez estuvo en la luz pública y hoy vive en un exilio interior en una conversación imaginaria con Fidel Castro.

SINOPSE
É o mês de novembro de 2015 e o poeta cubano Rafael Alcides, quase cego, decide terminar seus romances inéditos, escritos há várias décadas. Ao descobrir que a tinta caseira que tinha utilizado na máquina de escrever tinha apagado, decide começar a transcrever a obra da sua vida, munido de uma lupa e um computador.
A revolução cubana como uma história de amor e decepção através do olhar de um homem que já esteve perto do poder e que agora vive em um exílio interno mantendo uma conversa imaginária com Fidel Castro.
